Mercedes 220 SE Convertible (1959)
Since September 1958, the 220 SE was offered with mechanical fuel injection. In August 1959 the Ponton sedan 220 SE ran out of type and the convertible was further built. The production of the 220 SE convertible ended in November 1960.
In total only 1112 convertibles have been constructed of type 220 SE. The presented car ends with the chassis number 00140.

The vehicle was about 40 years in possession of an engineer, living in Manhattan Beach, California. Since 1975, there is an almost complete documentation for this car. All inspections, maintenance or other expenses have come down well preserved. A few years ago the vehicle has been once painted completely white due to a wedding. The vehicle has an incredibly beautiful patina that was obtained by long and intense attention to detail.
This is a gem in its original state after almost 60 years.
