The Mercedes-Benz 124 series is known as the last "true Mercedes" among connoisseurs of the brand and carries a star on the front of the bonnet until the later facelift. The car was presented in Frankfurt in 1991 at the IAA as a four-seat convertible with soft top.   

 

Up to 1997 a total of 33,952 examples were produced with different engines. The special feature was that, in the event of a possible overlap, the areas which were subject to kinking were welded to the stable unit A-pillars and the automatic roll-over bars for safety.

The export share of this beautiful series was especially high. Only the E 320 convertible was 75%!
